I seek to inspire…

My core beliefs:

  1. With the necessary skills, opportunities, and access to resources that support holistic needs, ALL children – regardless of their background — can and should expect a bright future.

  2. I believe in the power of families, schools and communities to transform the lives of young people.

  3. Any child-serving organization or institution can develop the systems needed for this transformative work.

  4. The following are key ingredients for bringing about positive change:

  • visionary leaders

  • supportive workplaces

  • interconnected systems

  • high functioning teams

  • trusting relationships

  • motivation and will to change

My approach

I seek to inspire others to fully engage in creating sustainable change through self-reflection, honest dialogue, and meaningful action.

Drawing on deep knowledge of and extensive experience in the fields of SEL and mental health, combined with a resolute commitment to racial equity, trauma-informed practices, and a restorative mindset, I work collaboratively with schools, districts, and organizations to reach their goals related to positive and equitable outcomes for young people.

I do this by helping leaders develop a vision for social and emotional learning and related frameworks, as well as create the systems, structures, and partnerships necessary to realize this vision.

By tapping into internal expertise, skills, and relationships; building effective teams and leaders, and designing and facilitating effective professional learning, I set up clients with the knowledge, skills, and mindsets needed to lead this work.

I have worked with Laura in multiple capacities over the years. I know that the emotional health of children is at her core and drives her in guiding schools to achieve the positive results that we know are possible.
