Communities of Practice

One of my favorite approaches to delivering training and technical assistance is through the Community of Practice model. This collaborative format creates a dynamic space where teams work toward shared goals, exchange knowledge, and strengthen their skills together. It also nurtures cross-sector partnerships, inspires innovation, and supports problem-solving efforts aimed at reimagining the systems that serve young people

What does this look like?

  • Teams meet regularly over 3-6 months for about 4-6 sessions

  • Each session includes both informal and structured activities, with small and large group discussions

  • Between sessions, teams complete assigned tasks and return to report out on progress and real-life challenges
